Abstract
This article seeks to trace how myths have been present since the origins of humankind, structuring not only individual identity but also aspirations, social organization, and religious behavior. To this end, documentary research was conducted to demonstrate how symbolic frameworks unconsciously structure the individual's psyche, subordinating values and existential dilemmas, and concluding that the conjunction of both provides balance and meaning to human life in society.
