Characteristics and situation of the contemporary social, cultural and human context in heavy metal as a countercultural movement

Abstract

The objective of this essay is to explain the social, cultural and human context in the origins of heavy metal as a counter culture movement until it evolved into folk metal. The essay will explain the factors that shaped society and the causes of  the phenomenon of Heavy Metal, first in Great Britain and the United States. The evolution of Heavy metal will be explained through the characteristics of contemporary society.
